The Gathering is no lone ranger.
We are a part of a denomination called the Mennonite Brethren, or “MB” for short.
Now, I know what you might be thinking: “I thought Mennonites drove horses and buggies and the Brethren were ultra-conservative.” Well, the MBs are neither of these. We watch TV, drive cars, and believe in keeping up with the times. The MBs are a different kind of Anabaptist denomination. And we welcome people of all backgrounds and denominations.
We are MB because we believe it is important to be a part of a larger church family. We also think it’s important for a local church to have a spiritual covering (as we see modelled in the book of Acts), as well as to have a shared statement of faith and theology, and relationships with 30 (or so) other MB churches in Ontario and 250 (or so) across Canada. Please feel free to visit the ‘Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren’s (CCMBC) website here and the Ontario Conference of Mennonite Brethren’s (ONMB) website here.
The video below captures the heart and passion of the MB Conference.
