Deliver Us From Evil

We might not always realize it, but when we pray we are actually confronting the powers of darkness in the spiritual realm. Prayer is an act of spiritual warfare.

So what do we need to know about the devil and the powers of darkness in our world? What does the Bible say about spiritual warfare and our authority in Christ? How did Jesus confront the reality of evil in the world? What might it look like to walk in the authority that Jesus has given us over the devil? That’s what this series is all about…

Q&R

In a four week series about spiritual warfare, it's impossible to address every question people might have about the topic.
So, as we wrap up our series “Deliver Us From Evil”, we're taking some time to work through a few of the remaining questions people might have. Questions like: Can a Christian be possessed by a demon? Can the devil read our minds? How are Christians to think about things like yoga and books like Harry Potter etc? How can I know if I'm under spiritual attack?
Pastor Jeff does his best to provide a thoughtful and biblically-based response to all these questions (and more)...

Know Your Authority

It’s possible to ‘be in charge’ but to lack authority. Authority matters. Authority is the difference between having people respect & listen to you and having them disrespect & ignore you. But what is our authority in Christ over evil and the powers of darkness? How can we discover and live into it more fully? Why does this matter? How does this all work?

Know The Truth

Jesus went face to face with the Devil once… and he ‘won’. So how can we ‘win’ in our battle with temptation, testing, and with evil itself? What's the role of Scripture in Spiritual Warfare?

Know Your King

We live in a world of competing Kingdoms; the Kingdom of Darkness vs the Kingdom of Light. To live in the Kingdom of Darkness is to align ourselves with that Kingdom’s ideology and ‘king’. And to live in the Kingdom of Light is to align ourselves with that Kingdom’s ideology and the One True King. So, who is your King? And how does knowing this King impact the way we engage in the battle?

Know Your Enemy

The Bible teaches that we have a spiritual enemy who is hell-bent on our destruction. So who is this enemy? And what do we, as followers of Jesus, need to understand about his role in our life and our world?
