How the Gospel Makes Us Generous

Jesus once said that “it’s better to give than to receive” while our culture seems to teach that “it’s better to receive than to give.” Two very different approaches to generosity and giving, and two very different beliefs about how we are to use our resources and material possessions. So how can we become people who live by the words of Jesus, as opposed to the teaching of our culture? How does the Gospel make us generous?

First Things First

Jesus once promised that God would provide everything we need if we would seek the Kingdom of God first. And yet so many of us seek other things first, adding stress, anxiety and worry to our lives. So what does it actually look like to seek first the Kingdom of God? And what might 2017 look like if we could live with a “first things first” mentality?

The Story of Hope (Christmas Eve)

The story of Jesus is the story of hope. It’s the story of light shining into the darkness of the world and of our lives. It’s the story of the life in the midst of death, of redemption in the midst of brokenness, and of hope in the midst of disappointment. Ultimately, it’s the story of God becoming flesh and entering our broken world. So how can the story of Jesus bring hope to our souls this Christmas? Join us on Christmas Eve @ 6PM to find out.

The Story of Mary & Joseph

A pregnant teenager. A boyfriend who wants out. A bad reputation. Gossip in the community. This is the beginning of the story of Jesus. This is the beginning of the story of hope. What can we learn from the story of Mary & Joseph and what it means to have hope when life seems like a mess? Join us this Sunday to find out.

Our apologies - only half of today's sermon was captured.

The Story of Zechariah & Elizabeth

Sometimes it’s easier to just give up. To expect the worst rather than to hope for the best, to believe that it’s impossible and that it just can’t be done, and to think it’s all over. But if the story of Christmas is about one thing, it’s about this: HOPE. Hope in the midst of our present uncertainties. Hope in midst of an unknown future. Hope for redemption from our past. Hope in the waiting. This Sunday, join as we look at the Biblical story of Zechariah & Elizabeth. What can we learn about “the story of hope” from their story?

Jesus 101: Outsider No More

Today we look at the story of “The Faith of a Gentile Woman” in Mark 7:24-30, where Jesus’ healing power extends to a religious ‘outsider’.  What can we learn about ‘labels’, inclusion and the heart of the Gospel message from this incredible short story?  Find out here!

The Story of the Stinky Shepherds

If there is one thing Christmas is about, it’s this: HOPE. Hope for the hopeless, for the forgotten, for the outsider, and for those who think they aren’t good enough. It’s the story of Jesus, and we see this story coming already coming to life as he laid in a manger and stinky shepherd came to visit. What can we learn about the story of hope from these stinky shepherds? Join us for “A Family Christmas” this Sunday to find out!
