- Spend some time debriefing Sunday’s service and message. What stood out to you? How did God speak to you?
- Jeff spoke about the last 4 of our 8 core values: Mission, Engagement, Authenticity and Simplicity. Which of these four values most resonated with you? Why?
- Spend some time talking about “Mission.” Read the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 together. What does it look like to “go” and to “live on mission”?
- Who in your life do you feel God calling you to pray for and reach out to?
- Spend some time talking about “Engagement.” Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 together. What does it look like to live out what Paul said in verse 27, “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”? What else stands out to you from this passage?
- How can you discern the part that God wants you to play as part of the body? (i.e. ‘Spiritual Gifts’ and ‘Family Chores’)
- Spend some time talking about “Authenticity.” Read James 5:16 together. How does “confessing your sins” (and brokenness, flaws etc) to one another help us experience God’s healing power (not just physical healing, but holistic healing) in our lives?
- What are some things that some prevent us from being honest and authentic with others about our brokenness?
- Do you consider yourself an open and authentic person? How can you become even more authentic?
- Spend some time talking about “Simplicity.” What does it look like to live simply and to declutter our lives? Why is this an important spiritual practice? Why is this important for the church? (i.e. focus, intentionality etc)
- Spend some time praying with one another as a group.
