If you missed Sunday May 28th’s message, you can listen to it here.
- Was there anything in Sunday’s sermon that was new, exciting, hopeful? That resonated with you?
- Was there anything that you didn’t agree with? That challenged your thinking, beliefs, opinions? That confused you?
- Do you agree that our works contribute nothing to our salvation? Why or why not? What is the difference between the gospel and human religion?
- Why is salvation by faith alone good news? Why is it good news everyday of you life?
- Have you ever doubted that God loves, accepts, forgives, delights in, and is pleased with you because of Jesus? Why or why not? When? What were the circumstances? How did you overcome those doubts? Have you?
- Read Matthew 11:28-30 again. The Message translation says: Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.
- Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Why? In light of Sunday’s sermon, what does it mean to get away with Jesus and take a real rest in Him?
