Hey Church Family!
Just touching base quickly about this coming Sunday’s service. As you may know, we are doing something a bit different this weekend – Church at the Park! Claudette Cain Park (the park by the new bridge, across from Moncion’s) in Riverside South, to be exact.
And the reason we are doing this is not just so that we can have fun as a church family – although I certainly hope we do! Ultimately, it’s so that we can reach out to our community with the love of Christ and connect with our neighborhood by bringing church to the community. It’s a great, low-pressure opportunity for you to invite your friends and neighbours and to connect with people in our community – and so I hope and pray we do!
Here’s a bit of what will be happening Sunday:
- Bouncy Castles set up for the kids starting at 10AM
- A short worship service with a short sermon at 11AM
- A free BBQ at lunch
- Family games/activities at around 1PM
- And Cotton Candy too!
And please bring your own chairs/blankets and a salad and/or dessert to share for the BBQ if you are able.
Finally, let me encourage you again to invite someone to join us at the park on Sunday. And let me also encourage you to make an effort to connect with people we don’t know while we are hanging out at the park on Sunday. Who knows – it could be your friendliness and your warmth that God uses to meet with someone who is far from Him!
Check out the event page for directions to the park.
Looking forward to a great Sunday!
