Coming out of Sunday’s teaching, “Ephesians: The Battle” spend some time in prayerful reflection and dialogue with your Home Church/Friends/Family around any combination of these questions.

Read through Ephesians 6:10-20 before starting. Pray and ask God to speak.
  • How did God speak to you through the text and/or Sunday’s message? What jumped out to you? What questions did is raise for you? What are some of the main ideas that Paul is communicating in this passage?
  • What is your reaction to the topic of “Spiritual Warfare”? Why is it important that we, as followers of Jesus, understand that we are in a spiritual battle?
  • What’s significant about Paul’s words to “stand firm” and “be strong” etc?
  • What are some of the “schemes” of the devil? How do you see him at work in the world (and in our lives)?
  • Spend some time walking through each piece of armour in verses 13-17. What does each piece of armour represent? Why is it important that we protect ourselves with each piece?
      • The belt of truth
      • The body armour of God’s righteousness
      • The shoes of peace
      • The shield of faith
      • The helmet of salvation
  • Where do you see the attack of the enemy in your life right now? What can you do about it?
  • How can the good news of Jesus change the way we think about and approach “the battle”?
