Scarred: Finding God When the Hurt Just Won’t Go Away

The reality is that life is hard and that sometimes our hurts and our pains don’t go away. And yet, when you look at the Bible, you read about how we are “more than conquerers” in Christ and that Jesus came to give us “life to the full”. So what do we do when we don’t know what to do and the hurt just won’t go away? How are we to understand life’s hurts & disappointments and continue to press forward in the midst of them all? Watch here as we wrap up our “Scarred” series by talking about this very important issue.

Mental Illness. Emotional distress. Depression. Bi-Polar. Mood disorders. Stress. So how can we find and experience God in the midst of it all? As Christians, how can we make sense of these challenges? How are we to cope? Find the video here for Part 2 of a very critical conversation on mental health and faith, featuring an interview with Carmen Hust, and expert in the field of mental health!

And most importantly, How can we move into a place of freedom in Christ as we consider the scars of our past? Join us for Part 2 of this very important conversation this Sunday.

Scarred: Finding God in the Pain – Where is God When it Hurts?

It’s a question that almost everybody asks as some point in their life, especially when they find themselves in some sort of crisis. "If God is real, and if God is good, then why does He allow bad things to happen to good people?" "Why does God allow evil and suffering?" "Where is God when it hurts?”  These are hard questions, but also very important and real questions. Questions that have the potential to draw us closer to God, not further away. Listen here as Jeff kick off our new series, “Scarred: What to Do When Life Hurts” by exploring this important issue together.
